If providers pay zero, how does Boxed Off make money?
Consumers pay a small service fee on top of your price — we take our cut from that, not from you. You always earn exactly what you charge.
How do I get paid?
We use Stripe Connect. When you onboard, you connect your bank account (IBAN). The moment a consumer marks a job complete, Stripe releases the funds — usually within 24 hours.
What if a consumer doesn't show up?
The payment is held in escrow from the moment of booking. If a consumer no-shows or cancels within 24 hours, you're protected by our cancellation policy — you keep a portion of the booking.
Do I need to be Garda vetted?
No. But providers who upload their Garda vetting cert earn a prominent trust badge on their profile and typically get 3× more bookings from families.
Can I set my own prices?
100%. You set your service prices. You can offer packages and bundles too. We never discount or interfere with your pricing.
Is there a contract or minimum commitment?
None. Pause or delete your account any time. We earn when you earn — there's no incentive to lock you in.
