You want a gel manicure. The nail tech charges €45. You pay €45 plus a 12% service fee of €5.40. Total: €50.40, exactly — there is no processing fee on top. The nail tech gets €45. Boxed Off keeps the €5.40 and pays the card charges out of it.

You're a nail tech. You charge €45 for a gel manicure. Consumer books and pays. Money sits in escrow. You do the manicure, consumer enters their PIN. €45 arrives in your IBAN within 24 hours. Boxed Off took nothing from you.

Stripe processes the payment and charges us roughly 1.5% + 25c on European cards. That comes out of our service fee, not out of your total and not out of the provider's payout. The figure you are quoted is the figure on your statement.

Pricing FAQ

Where does the service fee go?
The consumer service fee (12%) covers our platform costs, card processing, customer support and provider verification. Providers pay nothing on direct bookings. On Post a Job, we take a 15% fee from the provider on the accepted quote instead.
Will the service fee ever increase?
Our founding providers lock in the current fee structure permanently. Future providers will always be able to see our current fee before signing up — no surprises.
Is there a trial or free period?
Providers are live immediately with no trial period required. Direct bookings carry no provider fee at all; Post a Job only costs you anything if your quote is accepted.
What does Stripe Connect cost?
Nothing, to you or to your provider. Stripe charges us roughly 1.5% + 25c on European cards and we absorb it out of the 12% service fee. It is never added to your total and never deducted from a provider's payout.
Can I offer packages or discounts?
Yes — bundle your services into packages (e.g., "4 weekly cleans at 10% off"). Discounts come out of your price, not from our fee.
